Warriors captain Simon Mannering has been named the NRL club's best player for a fourth time.

The 28-year-old picked up his third award in four years and fourth since 2008.

Mannering, who appeared in all 24 Warriors games this season as they narrowly missed making the finals, scored nine tries in a year when he lifted his game tally to 212 - and 112 as captain.

"The main reason I play the game is to work alongside my teammates and do all I can to help the team be the best it can be," he said.

He said he was humbled by the award and promised improvement in 2015.

"We're all disappointed with the way our season finished, but we'll all be working a lot harder to improve next year," he said.

Mannering was also handed a legacy award to mark his 10th season at the club, the sixth player to reach the milestone.

Manu Vatuvei won the players' player of the year award while blockbusting centre Konrad Hurrell was the people's choice winner.
