Man's body dissolved in US hot spring

The body of a 23-year-old man who fell into a high-temperature acidic spring in Yellowstone National Park was dissolved, a report into the incident has found.

The body of a man who fell into an acidic hot spring in Yellowstone National Park in the US was entirely dissolved.

The 23-year-old man fell into the high-temperature spring on June 7 after straying from a designated boardwalk to look for a pool to bathe in, news network KULR 8 reported.

He had been reaching down to test the temperature of a pool when he slipped and fell in, a report into the incident released this week revealed.

Search and rescue rangers later found the victim's body in the pool, but could not retrieve it due to a lightning storm.

When they returned the next day, workers were no longer able to find his remains in the acidic water.
