A woman will appear in a Sydney court today charged with manslaughter and supplying drugs after the suspicious death of former Socceroo Ian Gray.

The 22-year-old woman was arrested yesterday in Kings Cross and refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today.

A group of the 46-year-old's friends who had grown concerned for his welfare found the body after breaking into his Elizabeth Bay home on Monday night.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and homicide squad detectives are investigating.
