Marcs and David Lawrence's New Zealand stores are closing for good while administrators continue to search for a buyer of the luxury fashion retailers' remaining Australian stores.
Ten stores will be closed over the next two months, and 44 staff will lose their jobs, including 11 full-time workers, administrator Rodgers Reidy said.
That follows the loss of 20 staff when 13 Australian stores were closed within weeks of the businesses going into voluntary administration on February 1.
Administrator and director of Rodgers Reidy, Andrew Barnden, said the remainder of the Australian operations are still up for sale.
"We are dealing with interested parties with respect to the sale of the Australian businesses and are continuing to trade 177 Marcs and David Lawrence stores," he said.
Those remaining stores will continue to trade until further notice.
Marcs and David Lawrence have been operating in New Zealand for a decade.
