Marilyn Manson fires Twiggy Ramirez

Marilyn Manson says he is replacing his bass player Twiggy Ramirez, just days after he was accused of rape by Jessicka Addams.

Marilyn Manson says he has decided to "part ways" with Jeordie White, also known as Twiggy Ramirez.

While Manson did not attribute the severance to the rape allegations made against White, the decision comes on the heels of Jessicka Addams' accusations of sexual assault against the bassist.

"I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson," Manson wrote on Twitter.

"He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well."

Addams detailed the alleged assault in a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday, writing that she and White entered into a relationship in the '90s - when she was 18 - that became physically violent in the following months and years.

She detailed a pattern of abuse that began with jealousy and escalated into hitting her repeatedly.

During a tour break with Nine Inch Nails, who White also played with, the musician allegedly visited Addams at their friend Pete's apartment.

"He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck," she wrote.

"I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved."
