West Australian Liberal MP Nola Marino has been appointed chief government whip.

Ms Marino, who was previously a deputy whip, will be accompanied by Tasmanian Brett Whiteley and Queenslander Ewen Jones on the whip's bench.

The trio replaces Scott Buchholz and Andrew Nikolic, both of whom were appointed by former prime minister Tony Abbott.
