Adelaide's Ebony Marinoff and the Western Bulldogs' Bailey Hunt are the first AFL Women players to be nominated for the rising star award.

Adelaide midfielder Ebony Marinoff and Western Bulldogs defender Bailey Hunt have received the first AFL Women's rising star nominations.

Marinoff starred for the Crows with 20 disposals and six tackles in their 36-point win over Greater Western Sydney on Saturday.

The 19-year-old former surf lifesaver was taken at No.7 in the national draft with the Crows' first selection.

Hunt played a solid shutdown role for the Bulldogs in their 32-point win over Fremantle on Saturday night.

The 20-year-old key defender finished with nine touches and three tackles.

Two AFLW players aged 21 years and under will be nominated each week for the inaugural rising star award and go in the running to receive $20,000.
