Maroons refuse to confirm starting side

Assistant Justin Hodges has refused to confirm Queensland's starting side for the State of Origin series decider in Sydney.

Queensland assistant Justin Hodges has kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to confirm the Maroons' starting side for the State of Origin series decider in Sydney.

Hodges said the team would be finalised just before kick-off on Wednesday night with David Fifita tipped to start in the back row, interchange utility Moses Mbye to come into the centres for Michael Morgan and Ethan James to make his debut off the bench.

"Kevvie (coach Kevin Walters) hasn't made that decision yet. We will just have to wait until kick-off," he said.
