Marsh gives Rabada a spray after wicket

Australia allrounder Mitch Marsh appeared to swear at South Africa spearhead Kagiso Rabada during yet another heated moment in the spiteful Test series.

Mitch Marsh is the latest player embroiled in controversy during the spiteful Test series between Australia and South Africa, having given Kagiso Rabada a foul-mouthed spray after the spearhead dismissed him on day four in Port Elizabeth.

Marsh appeared to swear at Rabada after he played on to the express paceman, who has rocked the tourists in both of their innings during the second Test.

The four-Test series has been plagued by a series of ugly incidents, including two send-offs from Rabada at St George's Park.

Rabada's poor record means he is facing a series ban for making physical contact with Steve Smith on day one of the contest.

Match referee Jeff Crowe conducted a hearing on Sunday night but is yet to reveal his verdict.

Rabada also gave David Warner a send-off on day three, screaming in the batsman's face.

Warner, Quinton de Kock and Nathan Lyon were all charged after an acrimonious first Test in Durban, which Australia won by 118 runs.

The 22-year-old Rabada has dominated Australia, claiming the fourth 10-wicket haul of his 28-Test career.

To put those numbers in perspective, the only Australians with more 10-wicket Test hauls are Clarrie Grimmett (seven), Dennis Lillee (seven) and Shane Warne (10).
