Prop Martin Kennedy has rejoined the Sydney Roosters after a disappointing 2014 NRL season with Brisbane.
Kennedy spent five years at the Roosters before making a big money move to the Broncos ahead of last season, but he failed to make a significant impact and returning Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett deemed him surplus to requirements.
The 25-year-old announced on social media on Thursday night he was going back to the Eastern Suburbs-based club.
"I'm really excited to announce that I'll be rejoining the @sydneyroosters next season," Kennedy wrote on Instagram.
"It was a hard decision to leave the @brisbanebroncos but ultimately I knew it was one that had to be made.
"I want to thank all the players and fans for my brief time at the club; it was a great pleasure to play alongside and in front of you all.
"Playing under Wayne was something that I've always wanted to do but an opportunity to rejoin the club I've supported since a child, train alongside my brother @sam_kenno and be coached by Trent Robinson was something too special to pass up."
Kennedy has played 82 NRL games and represented the PM XIII's in 2012.
Kennedy didn't disclose over what period of time he has committed to the Roosters.
