Three mass brawls at a refugee centre in the southern German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg have resulted in a number of injuries and four arrests, local police say.
Police were first called to the centre in Bad Saeckingen on Swiss border on Saturday evening, shortly after 10 pm, a police statement said.
Within a couple of hours officers were able to calm residents of the centre, while a number of people were detained. The reason for the fight was not clear.
On Sunday afternoon fighting between different nationalities began again after backup was sought from other refugee centres, the statement said.
After police stopped the brawl for approximately two hours, the fighting then started again.
One person was badly injured in the final brawl and taken to hospital, while four occupants were arrested.
Germany is currently dealing with a large influx of refugees, after Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the border in September last year, when tens of thousands walked on foot to Germany from Hungary.
