Augusta National has been shut down for the second time this week as inclement weather and tornado warnings continue to rain on the Masters' build-up.
With the states of Georgia and neighbouring South Carolina on tornado watch and facing severe storms, Masters officials suspended play at 1.30pm on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT), ending the final practice session and the popular Par-3 Tournament.
Former champion Mike Weir and Brendan Steele were tied for the lead at the time on three-under par.
Monday's practice round was also cut short when Augusta National closed due to heavy rain.
While the forecast looks better for the opening two rounds, strong winds on Thursday and Friday are set to test the world's best.
Sunny weather and temperatures of 21C are predicted for the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
