Match-fixing: Gambling on sport 'must be addressed'

Following the international football match-fixing scandal, SBS Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster says action must be taken to address the rising culture of gambling on sport.

Police in Singapore are helping European authorities narrow down the network behind the international football match-fixing scandal.

The Europeans have identified a Singapore-based betting cartel as the heart of a global match fixing empire.

The five-country probe has named almost 400 suspicious matches targeted by the crime syndicate. Local police say they're committed to bringing down the cartel.
