Matildas add Princess Ibini to squad

Princess Ibini is getting closer to a maiden international appearance for Australia after the teen received another call-up to a Matildas training camp.

Princess Ibini, sister of Socceroo Bernie Ibini, is one of two 15-year-olds named for the last Matildas training camp of the year.

Ibini, a forward with Sydney FC, joins young Western Sydney defender Ellie Carpenter in the W-League-based 22-strong Australian women's soccer squad to train at the AIS this week.

Ibini has previously trained with the Matildas and played at junior international level but is yet to be make her full international debut.

Runaway W-League leaders Melbourne City provide five players to the squad, with Sydney FC contributing four.

The Matildas return to international action next year with a five-game Olympic qualifying tournament in Japan.
