Greater Western Sydney chief executive David Matthews has signed a three-year contract extension, meaning his stint at the expansion club will span more than a decade.
Matthews started his tenure in late 2011, when predecessor Dale Holmes was sacked, and has been in charge of GWS throughout their seven seasons in the AFL.
Prior to joining the Giants, Matthews was part of the AFL executive as general manager.
Matthews' decision comes after coach Leon Cameron and football manager Wayne Campbell agreed to contract extensions last year, tying them to the club until the end of the 2020 season.
"Dave has been an outstanding leader of our club and is the right person to continue to lead us as chief executive in the next phase of the club's development," GWS chairman Tony Shepherd said.

"During the seven years of David's leadership at the Giants, we have grown to be an important member of the communities of Western Sydney and the ACT. We are now a major player in the most competitive sporting market in the country, if not the world."
The club started its existence at the Rooty Hill RSL club in Blacktown.
Matthews helped broker funding arrangements for the redevelopment of the Giants' current base, which was formerly a golf driving range at Sydney Olympic Park.
GWS reached the preliminary finals in 2016 and 2017. They now also field teams in the AFLW and Super Netball.
Matthews has been vocal on a range of issues affecting the expansion club, most recently pushing for the AFL to fund ambassadorial payments to help clubs in NSW and Queensland and retain in-demand stars like Tom Lynch.
He's also proven fiercely defensive of GWS when it comes to crowd sizes and other issues, memorably swapping public barbs with former Sydney coach Paul Roos last year.
