Hawthorn lead ruckman Ben McEvoy is among several key Hawks in doubt for the round-10 clash with Port Adelaide in Launceston after suffering an ankle injury in the loss to Richmond.
The in-form tall became the latest in a string of casualties for Hawthorn when his right ankle got caught underneath him in a tackle in the first quarter of Sunday's 14.11 (95) to 8.11 (59) loss at the MCG.
Star defender James Frawley was a late withdrawal from the game with hamstring soreness, with exciting young forward Mitchell Lewis knocked out of the clash with concussion in the third quarter.
The trio join Isaac Smith (foot) and Chad Wingard (hamstring) on the injury list.
"It's never great when they've tried to treat him and give (the ankle) the sort of support it needed with some extra strapping and he's unable to play in the second half," coach Alastair Clarkson said of McEvoy.
"We'll get it scanned and have a look at it and see what it means for next week."
Smith and Wingard didn't play in last week's upset win over GWS and Clarkson admitted he was unsure if they would be cleared to resume against the Power.
Frawley impressed in his return from a hamstring injury against the Giants last week, keeping Coleman Medal leader Jeremy Cameron goalless.
"It's frustrating, he had a hamstring (injury) for three weeks then came back and played really well but he just didn't recover from the game as well as we'd like," Clarkson said.
"It's the same hamstring. It doesn't really feel bad - he can run, he's got good strength and stretch - but it just didn't quite feel right.
"You just can't take a risk with a guy whose got some sort of soreness or tightness in the same hamstring that he's just come back from.
"I would hope that it dissipates by (Monday) or Tuesday at worst and that he's ok to play this week but that's no guarantee either."
