Penrith prop Sam McKendry has accepted a two-match NRL ban for a shoulder charge.

McKendry took the early guilty plea on Tuesday for the grade-one charge on Melbourne's Cameron Munster in the Storm's win over the Panthers at AAMI Park on Saturday.

The former Kiwis prop will sit out matches against Manly and South Sydney and will be available again for the Panthers' round 17 clash with Wests Tigers.

Sydney Roosters forward Dylan Napa will fight his grade-one careless high tackle charge on James Tedesco.

Earlier on Tuesday, Canterbury hooker Michael Lichaa was hit with a dangerous throw charge by the NRL match review committee but can escape a ban with an early guilty plea.

Lichaa was charged on Tuesday with a grade-one dangerous throw on Chris Heighington in the Bulldogs' 20-18 loss to Cronulla on Monday night.

If the rake takes the early guilty plea he earns 93 demerit points and will be free to play in the Dogs' round-14 match against St George Illawarra on Monday.

However, if Lichaa fights the charge and loses he will sit out the match against the Dragons.
