Measles alert after fresh case in Canberra

A person in the ACT has a confirmed case of measles after a recent overseas trip, territory health officials say.

ACT health officials are warning people to be aware of measles symptoms after a case was confirmed in Canberra.

The person caught the disease during a recent trip overseas in the first notified case in the territory this year, Acting ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Paul Dugdale said.

Authorities are encouraging people who may have been exposed at the Asian Noodle House in Dickson and Chemist on Northbourne in Civic on the night of October 17 to keep an eye on symptoms until November 4.
