West Australians are being warned of a potential measles outbreak after a passenger infected with the disease journeyed from Thailand to Perth.
The person arrived on Thai Airways flight TG483 on January 2.
After visiting several locations in Perth's northern suburbs over the next few days, they were taken to Joondalup Health Campus and quarantined on Monday.
The Health Department is warning that people on the same flight or in the same area as the infected person may have been exposed to the disease.
The highly contagious viral illness is spread by tiny droplets released when infected people cough or sneeze.
A vaccine is currently given to children at 12 and 18 months of age and a person is considered immune if they have received two doses or were born before 1966.
People who think they are infected should call ahead before they arrive at a doctor's surgery or emergency department to minimise the spread of the disease.
The sites visited by the infected passenger include:
* January 2 (8-9am) - Perth Airport international terminal arrival area
* January 2 (10am-12pm) - Coles at Northlands Plaza Shopping Centre in Balcatta
* January 5 (approximately 12pm) - KFC at 232 Walter Rd W in Morley
* Morning of January 6 - Coles at Northlands Plaza and Woolworths at Stirling Central Shopping Centre on Wanneroo Rd, Westminster
* January 6 (7.3pm-8.30pm) - Pharmacy777 on Arnisdale Rd in Duncraig
* January 7 (2.45pm) - Joondalup Health Campus in/near the Emergency Department and in the Medical Assessment Unit from late that day until about midday on January 8.
