Measles warning after traveller infected

A WA resident returned from the Philippines with measles on the weekend, prompting a warning for people in Perth who may have been exposed.

People in Perth may have been exposed to measles after a West Australian resident returned from the Philippines infected with the disease.

The patient arrived on flight SQ 215 from Singapore late on Friday and went to Royal Perth Hospital emergency department before going to Lucky Chans in Northbridge and the Rosemount Hotel in North Perth in the evening.

They stayed at Seasons of Perth hotel overnight and went to Halo restaurant in South Perth on Sunday morning.

Anyone who thinks they may have been infected should call ahead to their GP or emergency department so they can be isolated.
