NSW Health has issued a measles warning after a child diagnosed with the illness visited numerous locations in Sydney's south.
Anyone who was at Westfield Miranda on Sunday and Tuesday afternoons or at Sylvania Heights Community Club on Monday morning has been urged to watch for symptoms of the highly infectious disease, according to a statement released on Saturday.
The child also attended the Sutherland Hospital Emergency Department on Wednesday afternoon before being taken to Sydney Children's Hospital Emergency Department on Thursday morning.
Symptoms include fever, sore eyes and a cough, followed three or four days later by a red, blotchy rash spreading from the head and neck to the rest of the body.
The measles virus can be spread through the air by coughing or sneezing.
