Melbourne measles outbreak reaches 21

Victoria's Chief Health Officer Roscoe Taylor says cases of measles are continuing to be diagnosed in the Brunswick and surrounding areas.

Twenty-one people are now confirmed to have contracted measles following an outbreak in Melbourne.

The outbreak began in Brunswick and surrounding areas in February but the Department of Health and Human Services now says cases are occurring in other suburbs.

"Cases of measles are continuing to be diagnosed in individuals living in the Brunswick and surrounding areas," Victorian Chief Health Officer Roscoe Taylor said in a statement on Thursday.
