Melbourne train station designs revealed

The Victorian government has unveiled the final designs for five new underground CBD train stations, to be completed in 2025.

The final designs for Melbourne's five new underground train stations have been revealed as part of the Metro Tunnel project.

The rail project is set to be completed in 2025, with the North Melbourne, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall and Anzac stations to ease congestion in the existing City Loop.

"They're going to be landmarks in their own right that are going to sit and serve the city for many decades to come," Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan told reporters on Wednesday.
