Men charged over Sydney temple murder

Two men have been charged with murder months after Chinese national Qin Wu was shot and murdered in Sydney's southwest.

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man in Sydney's south west earlier this year.

Chinese national Qin Wu was fatally shot at a temple in Guildford on February 1.

Officer-in-charge of Strike Force Buttle, Detective Sergeant Justin Moynihan, said investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mr Wu's murder are continuing.

"We are alleging that Qin was shot when he intervened during an argument between his friend and the men charged," Det Sgt Moynihan said in a statement.

A 45-year-old man from Croydon was on Monday charged with murder and shoot with intent to murder and he was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at Silverwater jail on Monday, and charged with the same offences, and was remanded in custody to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
