Men injured in NSW boat collision

Two men are in hospital after two boats collided on a NSW river on Anzac Day night.

Two men have been seriously injured in a boat crash on a NSW river.

The two boats, a larger boat and a small aluminium boat, collided on the Hawkesbury River northwest of Sydney on Friday night.

CareFlight says people in the larger boat rescued men from the other boat who had ended up in the river after the crash.

A 32-year-old man suffered serious chest injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

A 28-year-old was airlifted from the scene with multiple leg fractures.
