Two men whose plane crashed into the ocean off Queensland have been rescued from the wreckage by police.
The aircraft ditched into water about 150 metres off the east coast of Fraser Island, north of Brisbane about 1.30pm on Wednesday.
Officers, who were nearby at the time, swam to the plane and helped two people to the shore, Inspector Tony Clowes said.
"The outcome was as good as we could hope for," he said.

The two suffered only minor injuries and were flown to Hervey Bay Hospital.
Queensland Ambulance Services senior operations supervisor Martin Kelly said one man, aged in his 60s, had lacerations to his head and face and abrasions to his legs and arms.
A man in his 20s had a head laceration.
