An urgent recall has been issued for a pack of hot dog rolls sold at Aldi stores in NSW and ACT after metal shavings were found in the buns.

Bakers Life Hot Dog Rolls - 6 Pack are being pulled off the shelves due to the presence of foreign objects (metal shavings), the NSW Food Authority said on Wednesday.

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice immediately, the authority said in a statement.

The buns are packaged in a 450g plastic bag with clip, with a best before date of July 14.

A full refund will be provided once the rolls are returned to the place of purchase, the authority said.
