Mexico earthquake death toll rises to 360

Mexican authorities say the death toll from last month's earthquake has risen to 360.

The death toll from the devastating earthquake that hit Mexico has climbed to 360.

There were 219 victims in Mexico City alone, Mexican civil defence agency chief Luis Felipe Puente said on Twitter.

Search crews recovered two more bodies on Saturday from the rubble of a high-rise building in an upscale neighbourhood in Mexico City, according to multiple media reports.

It was one of the last places where search missions were still ongoing.

The September 19 earthquake was measured at magnitude 7.1, with an epicentre approximately 130km south of the capital, causing severe damage in the Mexican capital.
