Michael Sim will take a two shot lead into the weekend of the WA Open.

After a challenging day for all the players, Sim went to the clubhouse with a second round two-under 70.

He heads a congested leaderboard on eight-under the card but is looking to go low in the weekend rounds.

Sitting two shots behind Sim are four players: Jason Scrivener, Daniel Valente, Daniel Fox and amateur Curtis Luck.

Rounding out the top-10 on the leaderboard on four-under the card are Jake McLeod, Steve Dartnall, Darren Beck, Jordan Zunic, Mitchell Brown and Anthony Houston.
