Michael Sim has lead at WA golf open

Michael Sim has the lead after the second round of the WA Open golf event at Royal Fremantle in Perth.

Michael Sim will take a two shot lead into the weekend of the WA Open.

After a challenging day for all the players, Sim went to the clubhouse with a second round two-under 70.

He heads a congested leaderboard on eight-under the card but is looking to go low in the weekend rounds.

Sitting two shots behind Sim are four players: Jason Scrivener, Daniel Valente, Daniel Fox and amateur Curtis Luck.

Rounding out the top-10 on the leaderboard on four-under the card are Jake McLeod, Steve Dartnall, Darren Beck, Jordan Zunic, Mitchell Brown and Anthony Houston.

The second round cut was made at two-over the card with 54 professionals and six amateurs making the weekend rounds.
