Microsoft's first flagship store outside of North America will throw open its doors next month in Sydney.
The technology giant is due to open shop at Westfield Sydney, in Pitt St Mall, on November 12, near rival Samsung and Apple's flagship stores.
The two-floor, 557-square metre space will have a range of Microsoft products, including Surface tablets and Lumia smartphones, as well as interactive spaces for customers.
The Sydney store will also feature a troubleshooting counter called Answer Desk for customers' technical questions and repairs.
As part of the store's opening, the company says it will donate more than $US2 million ($A2.75 million) in software and technology grants to local not-for-profit groups.
Microsoft earlier in October unveiled a suite of new products including its first laptop, the Surface Book and smartphones built on its latest operating system Windows 10.
The company currently has 110 retail shops in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico as well as 17 store-in-store outlets in China.
