Patty Mills has tied his season-high effort of 22 points with San Antonio recording a 26th straight home NBA victory, a 110-97 win over Orlando.
Mills has struggled at times this season but lit up the court and took charge of the Spurs' offence on Monday after starting point guard Tony Parker battled early on.
Mills checked into the game with five minutes left in the opening quarter - after Parker had a second shot blocked - and made an immediate impact, hitting a three-pointer with his first shot.
The 27-year-old Australian continued in that vein, making three of four from beyond the arc and nine of 13 shots overall.
He made several forays inside the paint and along the baseline, showing plenty of aggression as he also added four rebounds and five assists.
LaMarcus Aldridge also stood up for the Spurs, leading the scoring with 28 points in the absence of veteran big man Tim Duncan, once again missing with a right knee problem.
The Spurs took their season record to 40-8, second only to defending champions Golden State (40-4).
Centre Nikola Vucevic led the scoring for the Magic, who have now dropped nine of their past 10 games to slip five behind eighth-placed Indiana in the Eastern Conference.
As has so often been the case this season, the Pacers were in the hunt against a contender but unable to get over the line as they suffered a 111-106 overtime loss to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers.
With the scores locked 96-96, Indiana had the ball in the final 20 seconds after a Kevin Love foul but failed to execute on the final play.
Veteran guard Monta Ellis had the ball but a miscommunication from rookie big man Myles Turner - who spectacularly rejected a marauding LeBron James at the rim just minutes before - meant Ellis didn't get the screen he wanted and threw an off-balance miss.
Kyrie Irving and James made big offensive plays in overtime to seal the win for the Cavaliers.
James finished with a double-double comprised of 24 points and 12 rebounds as well as six assists, while Irving led the scoring for Cleveland with 25.
It was a quiet night for Aussie Matthew Dellavedova, who managed just 12 minutes and failed to score.
Elsewhere on Monday, Denver's Nikola Jokic had the game of his NBA life, with career-highs of 27 points and 14 rebounds as the Nuggets snapped the Toronto Raptors' franchise-best 11-game winning streak 112-93.
Oklahoma City downed Washington 114-98 with Kevin Durant posting 28 points, Detroit rolled over Brooklyn 105-100, Memphis trounced New Orleans 110-95, Atlanta dispensed with Dallas 112-97, Utah took Chicago 105-96 and Sacramento got past Milwaukee 111-104.
