Around 250 mining and exploration companies are helping pay for the new anti mining tax ad campaign launched today.
The TV ads show ordinary Australians being blasted sideways to a jingle that sings "you're gonna get whacked by the mining tax".
"It could be your job, or your superannuation, or your electricity bill," the ads say.

"The extra mining tax is going to affect Australians everywhere.”
"All that's certain is that somehow, some way, there's a price to pay."
The ads have been commissioned by the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies which represent small and mid-tier mining companies.
The association says the Mineral Resources Rent Tax is skewed in favour of the three mining giants that negotiated it with the government.
They also say the extra 10.5-billion-dollar tax on mining will cost jobs boost electricity prices and see the value of superannuation funds fall.
