Cabinet Minister Josh Frydenberg has played down speculation of a swing of up to 10.6 per cent to Labor in Western Australia.

Labor could be on track to pick up a record six out of 16 seats in the west, the Australian Financial Review reports after analysing state and individual seat polls.

"I've travelled to WA on this campaign a couple of times, places like Kalgoorlie, Broome, Perth and Bunbury and I actually found the feeling on the ground pretty good for the coalition," Mr Frydenberg told ABC Radio.
