Ministers have reportedly had their wings unclipped under Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

A ban on first class travel and restrictions on numbers of trailing staff, which was imposed by former prime minister Tony Abbott, have been lifted, The Australian reports.

Ministers are now allowed to travel overseas in first class so long as they personally pay to be upgraded or are granted a freebie from the airline.
