Missing elderly couple found in Vic

An elderly couple reported missing on a driving holiday in Victoria have been found 15km away from their bogged car.

An elderly couple reported missing on a driving holiday through regional Victoria have been found 15km away from their bogged car.

The alarm was raised over the Flinders couple, an 81-year-old man and his 74-year-old wife, when they failed to arrive at their destination in Casterton in Western Victoria after visiting the Penola caves on Sunday afternoon.

They were found safe and well about 2.30pm on Monday, about 15km from their car, which had become bogged in an area called Lake Mundi-Derghol, Victoria Police said in a statement.

The couple's family has been notified.
