A family missing in the Grampians has been found alive and well after spending a night sleeping rough in the rugged Victorian national park when their vehicle became bogged.

A massive search had been launched for the two men, two women and a six-month-old baby before the group walked into the remote Victoria Valley airfield and were located around 11.40am on Friday.

The group had slept in their duel-cab utility on Thursday night after it had become bogged at Moora Moora Reservoir in the heart of the Grampians.

They walked some 10 kilometres to the airfield to be rescued.

The family had left Hamilton on Thursday morning and driven into the Grampians reportedly without camping gear or food.
