Missing NSW man found after river ordeal

A 24-year-old man who disappeared while swimming in the Murrumbidgee River near Wagga Wagga has been found alive and well.

A man who went missing after swimming in a NSW river near Wagga Wagga has been found alive and well about eight kilometres downstream from where he disappeared.

Police say Shane Skeers, 24, was found on Tuesday morning just before 11am after he was reported missing on Monday night.

Mr Skeers was found 7.6km downstream from where it is believed he went swimming in the Murrumbidgee River at 7pm.
