A body found in a nature reserve in the US city of Atlanta has been confirmed as that of missing 20-year-old Perth man Mohammad "Naz" Rahimi.
He was last seen running in distress into the Morningside Nature Preserve on March 31, while visiting the US.
Atlanta Police confirmed a body found in the reserve on April 16 is Mr Rahimi's, but are yet to determine the cause of death.
Mr Rahimi's friends took to social media in the days after his disappearance, appealing for information.
According to one Facebook post, the 20-year-old's father and brother arrived in Atlanta on April 10 to search for him, a day before he was due to arrive home.
In a written statement, Atlanta Police said Mr Rahimi's family had been notified of his death.
A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesman said consular assistance was being provided to the family.
