Missing Qld boat passenger found

Water police in central Queensland have found a man who went missing from a boat near Bundaberg.

A man who vanished from a boat in central Queensland has been found safe and well.

Police were notified just before 2pm on Tuesday that the man had gone missing in waters near Bundaberg.

"Hervey Bay Water Police and Volunteer Marine Rescue are searching an area around Anthea Wreck, approximately 30 nautical miles north east of Bundaberg," police said in a statement.

By 6.30pm, officers had located him.

"Arrangements are being made to have the man returned safely to shore," a spokesman said.
