Missing SA man Daniel Hind found dead

Police believe they have found the body of missing Adelaide man Daniel Hind, which will now be sent for further examination.

Police strongly believe a body found in an Adelaide wheelie bin is missing man Daniel Hind.

The body was discovered at the intersection of Mill and Short roads at Waterloo Corner about 3pm on Thursday.

Mr Hind, 29, was last seen about two kilometres away at the Whitehorse Inn Hotel in Bolivar on August 28.

"Our gravest concerns were realised today when somebody found the body of a person who we strongly believe to be Daniel," Detective Superintendent Des Bray told reporters on Thursday night.

"We're proceeding with the investigation on the basis that it's Daniel Hind."

The body was discovered by two people.

Det Supt Bray said it would be examined on Friday.

"Because of the time he's been missing, we're really unable to determine what injuries he's got," he said.

Mr Hind's family has been notified of his death.

"Although it confirms their worst fears, we're really glad for them that we've located his body," Det Supt Bray said.

He said police believe Mr Hind was murdered on the night he disappeared.

"We've got one person that we're really interested in and we'll just see where the investigation goes," he said.

Police earlier revealed Mr Hind's credit card was used to buy alcohol at the hotel shortly after he left and his phone was last used to text an acquaintance early the next morning.

It is unclear whether Mr Hind made the purchase or sent the message himself.
