Missing surfer found on NSW Central Coast

A young surfer who went missing on the NSW Central Coast has been found safe and well at a nearby property.

A young surfer who disappeared on the NSW Central Coast has been found alive and well.

The 21-year-old went surfing at Shelly Beach after midday on Saturday and police feared he may have gotten into difficulty in the water, as his belongings were spotted on the sand but his surfboard could not be found.

But on Saturday evening the Westpac Rescue Helicopter tweeted the surfer had been found safe on a property several kilometres away.

Earlier, NSW Police had said they were contacting family and friends in case the surfer wasn't missing in the ocean as feared.
