Missing nine-year-old Nathan Parker, who vanished on his way home from school in Sydney's southwest, has been found safe and well.
A police spokesman said Nathan turned up at his Canley Vale school just after 8.30am (AEDT) on Wednesday.
Superintendent Wayne Murray said Nathan had been at an "unauthorised sleepover".
Nathan's mother Kim Parker had been "beside herself", he said, describing the outcome as "a really really good story and fantastic for the community".
A police spokesman said Nathan turned up at his Canley Vale school just after 8.30am (AEDT) on Wednesday.
"We're not one hundred per cent sure exactly what's happened overnight," the spokesman said.
"But it's fair to say mum's relieved and Nathan is safe and well."
The good news comes as extra resources were sent to Canley Vale on Wednesday after an all-night search failed to find the "bright, happy little fellow".
His disappearance was considered out of character and had sparked serious concerns for his safety.
