A man whose body has been missing since he and three friends were killed in a light plane crash off the Victorian coast 11 days ago has been identified.
The search will continue on Tuesday for the body of 55-year-old Mordialloc man Daniel Flinn who was aboard a Piper Cherokee that crashed into Bass Strait, between Point Lonsdale and Barwon Heads, on January 29.
Police say the bodies of Donald Hately, 68, of Noble Park, Di Bradley, 63, of Black Rock and her 65-year-old husband Ian Chamberlain were recovered soon after the accident but Mr Flinn's body remains missing.
The plane crashed in poor weather on a flight from Melbourne to King Island in Tasmania.
On Sunday, police brought to the surface wreckage including the engine block, propeller and part of the fuselage found in about 40 metres of water last week.
They had hoped to find Mr Flinn's body trapped inside the fuselage.
The three men were all licensed private pilots but it's not clear who was flying the dual-control aircraft.
