When former US President George HW Bush’s body travels to Washington DC to lie in state, he’ll be accompanied by a military guard of honour – and his faithful companion: Sully the service dog.
George HW Bush, who was US president between 1989 and 1993, died on Friday at the age of 94.
A photo of Sully, named after pilot Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger III who successfully landed a damaged passenger plane on the Hudson River and saved all 155 passengers and crew in 2009, was shared by Mr Bush's spokesperson Jim McGrath on Monday.
Accompanying the photo was the caption: "Mission complete".

The service dog, trained by Vet Dogs, can reportedly perform a two-page list of commands, including fetching the phone.
Vet Dogs trains service dogs for veterans, active-duty service members and first responders with disabilities.
The dogs can help with a variety of disabilities, including individuals who are blind or have low vision; someone dealing with the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder or hearing difficulties.
Sully joined Mr Bush in the summer, after former First Lady Barbara Bush died earlier, and will now join a new family.
