Sculpting the world's best footballers is harder than it seems.
Liverpool and Egyptian forward Mo Salah has been honoured with the unveiling of a new statue in his homeland, but football fans were quick to mock the sculpture's unusual look on social media.
The statue showed Salah, who set the Premier League goalscoring record for a single campaign last year, performing his iconic goal celebration with an unusually oversized head, small outstretched arms and small legs.
The player's distinctive curls are also seemingly exaggerated as part of the casting.

The sculpture has drawn comparisons with a bust of Cristiano Ronaldo, which was also mocked online.
Unveiled at the World Youth Forum in Sharm el-Sheikh, artist Mai Abdel Allah told Egypt's state-run Al-Ahram that she created the statue because of the importance Salah carried "both inside Egypt and abroad".

But she also admitted she had no hand in pouring the bronze into the mould and was "not happy" with the final product, according to CNN.
The statue drew comparisons with many celebrities online including Marv the villain from Home Alone and British singer-songwriters Leo Sayer and Art Garfunkel.
Salah enjoyed a record-breaking debut season with Liverpool scoring 32 goals to set a new record in a single campaign. The forward also helped Egypt reach its first World Cup in 28 years.
