More than 50 South Australian families who lost homes in the deadly Pinery bushfire will receive $255,000 to help rebuild.

So far, $65,000 has been given to the victims of the January blaze north of Adelaide, state Communities and Social Inclusion Minister Zoe Bettison says.

The fire claimed two lives and destroyed almost 500 buildings as it burnt through more than 82,000 hectares of farming land.
