Collingwood have been boosted by the returns of Darcy Moore and Travis Varcoe for their much-anticipated AFL clash with West Coast.

Moore's inclusion down back is a huge positive for the Pies, who have been left a little short in defence by the season-ending injury to Lynden Dunn.

Will Hoskin-Eilliott is in doubt with a knee injury, but has been named.

West Coast confirmed the return of twin towers Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling to their attack.

Mark LeCras and Jake Waterman are also in for the third-placed Eagles, who are out to reclaim second spot from the Magpies and dispel doubts over their form at the MCG.

Brendon Ah Chee, Nathan Vardy, Brayden Ainsworth and Oscar Allen were all dropped.

Injury-ravaged Sydney will be without Dan Hannebery (calf), Kieren Jack (knee) and Jarrad McVeigh (collarbone) when they take on North Melbourne in Sunday's late game at Etihad Stadium.

Tom Papley, Isaac Heeney and Nic Newman return, while Irishman Colin O'Riordan will debut.

North coach Brad Scott handed Alex Morgan his AFL debut with young forward Cameron Zurhaar out with a long-term ankle injury.

Fremantle included Cameron Sutcliffe, Cam McCarthy, Ryan Nyhuis and Scott Jones for their encounter with Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium.

Jack Hombsch, Karl Amon and Sam Gray are in for the Power, with former Melbourne skipper Jack Trengove one of the three players to make way.
