The US Democratic National Committee is attempting to authenticate documents it says were "stolen by Russian agents'' and aren't yet widely available.
Forbes.com reported on Tuesday that hacker Guccifer 2.0 told a security conference in London that new information from the DNC was being leaked and provided a link and a password to access the data.
DNC interim chair Donna Brazile says the party's legal team has access to the newly released documents, which aren't yet widely available. She says the DNC is attempting confirm their authenticity.
Previously hacked and released DNC documents revealed unflattering staff emails about the primary between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders and led to the resignation of then-chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
