Permanent bollards and barriers will start being installed at Melbourne's Flinders Street station and Princes Bridge within days.
Nearly two years after the first, deadly attack on Bourke Street which prompted the CBD-wide security upgrades, more than 20 bollards, an eight-metre long reinforced barrier and completion of the 130sqm forecourt under the station clocks will be installed from next week, Police Minister Lisa Neville announced on Friday.
Works on 88 bollards in Princes Bridge will start January 14.
