Not content with Christine O'Donnell, the Senate candidate who once practiced witchcraft and, among other major concerns, wants to outlaw masturbation?
Go forth to Alaska, the adopted state of Sarah Palin, the failed Vice-Presidential candidate and short-term governor.
At times (OK, a lot of the time), it's a strange place.

Kind of like Australia's far north but with ice.
At a town-hall style meeting in Anchorage on Sunday, private security guards for Senate candidate Joe Miller handcuffed and detained a journalist.
As reported by the Alaska Daily News, Tom Hopfinger, editor of the Alaska Dispatch website, attempted to question Miller on potentially controversial issues from his past after the meeting.
Miller's bodyguards, wearing Secret Service-style earpieces, told Hopfinger to stop asking questions and to leave the building, adding that if he persisted they would arrest him for trespassing, although the event was at a public school.
Throw in some steel handcuffs and that's pretty much what went down until police arrived, released the blogger telling him he was neither arrested nor detained.
Miller's version of events came via a press release on his website titled “Liberal Blogger 'Loses It' At Town Hall Meeting”.
“The blogger chased Miller to the exit after the event concluded in an attempt to create and then record a 'confrontation' with the candidate.
“While Miller attempted to calmly exit the facility, the blogger physically assaulted another individual and made threatening gestures and movements towards the candidate.”
Which may have been so but here's some breaking news for Joe Miller: handcuffing a journalist (or blogger) is a sure fire way to make an issue more controversial and gain international coverage – and not the way you want.
Miller, a former army officer who served in the first Gulf War, won the Republican Party's endorsement fas its Alaska Senate candidate beating incumbent Lisa Murkowski.
But Murkowski, who has a longtime family feud with Sarah Palin (this is Alaska), has not gone quietly.
She will contest the seat as a “write in” candidate, effectively meaning her supporters must fill in her name under “other” if they wish to vote for her.
This may split the conservative vote and hand the Senate seat to Democrats.
Then again, the way things are going, a moose might get elected instead.
In other Tea Party news (and remember, this is not an actual political party but a “grassroots movement”), one of New York's well-known tourist “attractions” has declared his intention to run for President in 2012.
The Naked Cowboy, who visitors may know as the guy who plays guitar near Times Square dressed in cowboy boots and hat and underpants, wants to be the guy to end Obama's Presidency.
The “cowboy”, real name Robert John Burck, has declared his policies to include border closure, making drug tests for welfare recipients mandatory, abolishing unions for government workers, and reversing the recently passed health care law.
“No time for games,” he said, when asked what type of underwear he endorsed.
If only he was referring to this whole political circus.
I mean process.
